We regularly program three shows per night on Friday and Saturday nights. In summer 2024, we will expand our schedule to incorporate regular shows on Thursday and Sunday nights as well.

The best place to look for all scheduled events is our ticketing page: https://commodorecomedy.thundertix.com.

We never want to be the sort of theater where the same “in crowd” is getting all the opportunities night in and night out. The five of us have each been through that at one point or another, and can personally attest to the fact that it makes people feel, well, shitty. As we have built up our roster of shows and stable of performers over our first several months of operation, we’ve seen a lot of familiar faces, It is our hope (and frankly our plan) to spread the wealth of performance opportunities around and give space for a diversity of comedic voices, approaches, and perspectives, and to also want to provide regular opportunities for newer acts to find their voices and have some fun along the way.

If you have an idea for a show, we want to hear it! Please visit this page: https://commodorecomedy.com/1720132910219/submissions/

Yes, you can! We will host regular jams and open stages and you can find those on our show schedule. Please submit our Submissions page for more on how you can submit as an individual performer.

Yes, please take classes with us! Visit our classes page for more information on our current offerings. Itching to take a particular class but don’t see it on our schedule? Reach out to us at classes@commodorecomedy.com! We want to hear from our community about the sorts of classes they would be interested in taking.

No. It is not currently required that you study with us in order to perform at The Commodore. That said, we want our performers to be conversant in and aware of our house style and philosophy, and to be respectful of our house values; studying with us, even if just by taking an intensive, is a great way to make sure that you understand what we’re going for, and it’s likely to make your show pitches more successful.

If we don’t already know you, and if you have studied improv elsewhere and/or have performance experience elsewhere, please reach out to us at classes@commodorecomedy.com and tell us about it, so that we have a better idea of where to start you in our program. We’re willing to entertain credit transfers on a case-by-case basis. Please don’t expect a credit transfer if you haven’t studied and/or performed improv anywhere at any point over the last five years!

We sure can! We very much do need help, and we are working to identify exactly where that help is best placed. In the meantime, if you would be willing to pick up a shift at the box office, or be on hand to help clean/reset the theater before or after a show, that would be wonderful, and we have a Google Form for that, too.

The quickest and easiest way is to email us at info@commodorecomedy.com. We all have access to this account, and you’ll get a response within 24 hours. You can also message us on Facebook or Instagram.
